will be giving a keynote speech and book signing. John’s work has been the subject of cover stories and feature articles in The San Francisco Chronicle, The Los Angeles Times, Chicago Life, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and many of the nation’s other major newspapers and magazines. His life and work have also been featured in an hour long PBS special titled Diet For A New America.

Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Jr. will be speaking on living a plant based diet and how in can help prevent and reverse the effects of heart disease. Dr.
Esselstyn has been associated with the Cleveland Clinic since 1968. During that time, he has served as President of the Staff and as a member of the Board of Governors. He chaired the Clinic’s Breast Cancer Task Force and headed its Section of Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery. He was also featured in the recent movie Forks over Knives
Jane Esselstyn, RN is talking on Women Power, Sex and Food - Eating Plant-Strong Health Care Is Self Care. Jane is stunning and always very delightful and intriguing!
George Eisman, Registered Dietician is confirmed for his presentation “The Health and Eco Benefits of Whole Food Plant-Based Eating“.
Tom Rapini, environmentalist, will be talking on the impact of living green.
Elizabeth Kucinich (Director of Public and Government Affairs for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) speaking on “Eating Green – Eating Health – Eating Peace”, along with Rebecca Dingle, PCRM Food for Life instructor will be speaking and having a food demo class.
Stefanie Penn Spear, founder, executive director and editor of EcoWatch will talk about future energy choices for Ohio and the U.S., and the role renewable energy and energy efficiency can play. She’ll discuss how policy and zoning impacts these choices. Please join Spear as she will provide an overview of the last five years on energy policy on the local, state and federal level, and include insights into what is possible for our nation.
Many vendors representing the various facets of living a healthy lifestyle such as; nutrition, eco living, and sustainability will be there to give you information and product.
The Living and Eating Green Expo will also feature several mini-lectures to help spark some seeds to enhance your health and the health of the planet.
Also, there will be a Vegan Food Fest on Friday evening featuring many Vegetarian and Vegan friendly restaurants and caterers. The Vegan Food Fest will cost $12 for admission and gives the attendees samples of the delicious specialties for the cost of admission. The $12 will also get you into the main exhibit hall and the free mini–lectures for The Journey Expo. Dr. Esselstyn will be giving his keynote in conjunction with the Vegan Food Fest. No extra charge to hear this giant of the plant based diet speaker. Please come and feed your body and mind!
And again on Saturday and Sunday the $8 admission is good for both Expos.
